Notes

Hesperia is the solo outing from the lead guitarist of Journey to Ixtlan. Hesperia has a heavy late night highway feeling, minimalist electric guitar compositions based around extremely repetitive riffs. All you can hear is one guitar-slinger's sorrowful trance, and the lonesome high atmosphere of his expanding desert surroundings, slowly pulsing just above the cyclical din of a dark, psychedelic blues. Recorded in a desperate fit of inspiration, just after the sudden death of a close friend to the family, Hesperia was the first Desert Lotus tape to be circulated throughout community. - Desert Lotus / Journey to Ixtlan Family
