'Songs to go to sleep by', the sixth EP from Matt Bentley; an eclectic work, stylistically ranging from ambient acoustics to energetic pop-folk in an EP which takes us from highs to lows, then back to highs. The EP blends a wide variety of sounds including worded vocals, wordless vocals, violins, guitars, basses & synthesizers into a delicate mix of acoustic melody. Comparisons might include Mogwai's earlier music, Cocteau Twin's more gothic work or the creeping acoustic tones of Madredeus.
