"Springtime at Trout Lake and birds begin to sing at first light of dawn. Just after sunrise a raven circles high above the lake calling to his mate and the echo of his voice reverberates and carries for over a mile. A trout leaps at low flying insects. The beautiful songs of redwinged blackbirds, chirping sparrows, steller's jays, and an American robin can be heard throughout."
