Notes

Extince confirms he made the sleeve but doubts if he compiled the tape. It could be a personal tape used for presentations which was forgotten in a radio studio. But could also be dubbed by someone else. Anyhow: the tape has some unpublished music as demo of Extince - Rap Around The Clock.

On the back of the insert is written by some one else: "ontv 10-11-86 Z uitz 12-11-86 WW", which means: "Received on 10-11-86. Aired on 12-11-86" WW most likely stands for Wilde Wereld, a radio program of the VPRO. The meaning of letter Z is unknown.

The cassette has no tracklist.

The A-side of tape starts with the A-side of 7" Rap Around The Clock, then a snippet of an interview and a fast outro of Rap Around The Clock, before there is a version of Rap Around The Clock on a Paul Hardcastle beat (King Tut, 1985). That was the first demo-version of the song! The tape continues with a mix with songs like The Message (Grandmaster Flash), Just Buggin' (Whistle), Oh my God (Doug E. Fresh), Everybody Dance (Chic) and Holiday Rap (MC Miker G and Deejay Sven), for the most parts instrumental. This side ends with Rap Around The Clock.

The B-side of tape starts twice with the A- en B-side of 7" Rap Around The Clock, probably recorded from the 7" single, cause you can hear some surface noise. Then the tape continues with a short instrumental track, made by Maarten de Jong aka DJ Wheelz aka Grandmaster MWE, as optional beat for Rap Around The Clock, before starting with Rap Around The Clock again and again.
