JUNGLE GYM Records presents “Directions,” a full length cassette tape from René Najera. Exploring themes of long-distance travel, momentum and youthful wonder, Najera’s debut is decidedly coastal. Like the migration of sea birds or the movements of a busy port, this collection of 5 new works soundtrack the grandiose of the everyday. With a select few pieces of hardware, Najera sculpts a deep house landscape all his own, where bass-lines peak and high hats fall in and out of time, stumbling, but always moving forward. From the early evening cocktail to the early morning sunrise, “Directions” is along for the ride, and is exclusively from JUNGLE GYM.
